These
are extremely well made, precision tools that will
become a family heirloom.The blades are excellent
tool steel and thicker than those found in other
block planes.
The
20 Degree Bronze Block plane is great for fairing
an outer hull, shaping strips, and beveling stems.
The Low Angle planes work really well for trimming
the strips even with the outer edge of the inner
stem. The Model Maker's plane is used to shape the
long angle of kayak deck strips to turn a square
cut into a bead. |
